1861 Census
« on: Saturday 20 May 17 16:46 BST (UK) »
I wondered if anyone could help or possibly shed some light.  I have traced a family member 1851, then 1871 -1901 on the census.  They appeared at the same farm constantly. (farm is Waunbant) However, I cannot for the life of me find them on 1861. I've tried finding the area, then scouring through the pages.  Does anyone know whether parts of the 1861 are missing?  I wondered this as I, not only tried to trace the family through mother, father and a son from the 1851 and then another from the 1971, but I also tried to trace some neighbours in order to get somewhere near, but I can't even find them!!!

The family in question as per 1851 are :
Waunbant, Mynachty Hamlet, Llancrwys, Carmarthenshire
Thomas Jones, 1818, born Llancrwys, Farmer aged 33
Mary Jones, 1821, born Conwil Caio, wife aged 30
John Jones, 1845, born Llancrwys, son aged 6

1871
Waunbant, Forest Hamlet, Llancrwys, Carmarthenshire
Thomas Jones, 1817 born Llancrwys, farmer aged 54
Mary Jones, 1821, born Conwil Caio, wife, aged 50
Thomas Jones, 1864, born Llancrwys, son aged 7

Many thanks to anyone who picks up my message.

Llancrwys is one of the "missing pieces" of the 1861 census.

Thank you MaureenNY. That would explain why I couldn't find the neighbours, yet some places/farms in Llancrwys are shown, so it must be just parts of Llancrwys that are missing, and just my luck it's the parts I want! Thanks for the swift reply.
