There is a Robert Owens, baptised 1818 in Llanrhos(sometimes Eglwysrhos or Eglwys-rhos) who might fit the bill. There are records that give a parish of "Llandudno cum Eglwys Rhos" to demonstrate it's proximity.
There is also the possibility of non-conformism,and hope that patronymics aren't involved either!

Roger

The transcription of that record on FindMyPast gives Edward as Robert's father, the same as the first born son in the 1851 census, lending a little more weight to the possibility.

Thank you Roger,
This info is of a great help to me as I live in England so don't know the area at all, let alone Welsh.
I will try and find the record on FindMyPast you mention.
Patronymics do run in this family too that I have found, siblings naming their children of their siblings etc.. Also this lineage so far is Robert, Edward, Robert, Robert, so maybe more of the same to find.
Surname is either Owen/s.
Also one of Robert's daughters married a Baptist Minister (Irish) and Robert is the Head of the family 1891 cen, so I did wonder if maybe they were of alternative religion.
I may require further help, especially with Welsh place names etc..

Thanks
Wend

The children all seem to have the birth mother's maiden name as Price.

There is a marriage of Robert Owens and Margaret Price in Liverpool Jan-Mar 1846.

Margaret Price daughter of Hugh Price, a hatter, and Anne of Pwllheli, baptised 2nd February 1823 at Denio.

The baptism at Llanrhos seems the most likely and the marriage certificate would give his father's name etc.

Thank you David,
I have considered that marriage as Robert and Margaret had a son Hugh Price Owen/s, so thanks for the further info you have given me.
Margaret gives her POB as Pwllheli.

I cannot find, for certain, Robert Owen/s on 1841 cen., not easy when it just ask if born in County  :(
From 1851 cen onwards, he and Margaret live at Toxteth Park, Liverpool.

So more research to do on these two and work on the 1841 entries for him especially  ::)

Thanks
Wend

Hi again
After searching for children to Edward & Mary Owens c1791 I have found these children to them all baptised in same church Llanrhos:
William 1814 mothers maiden name JONES
John 1816
Robert 1818 my daughter's lineage
Mary 1821
Thomas 1826
Maryanna 1829
Jane c1835 I haven't found a Baptism for this "child" yet, that is if she is their child on 1841 Cen

I cannot find a Marriage for Edward Owen/s and Mary Jones, apart that is from this one:
Edward Owen - Mary Jones - 29 Apr 1805 - Berriew, Montgomeryshire,
I have seen the actual entry and Edward signs his name and Mary X her mark

The interesting fact of both is they are Widow/er, so I searched for other marriages for Edward and found this one:
Edward Owen - Mary Jones - 4 July 1804 - Llanbabo, Anglesey
I have seen the actual entry for this too and again Edward signs and Mary X her mark, but, the signature of Edward is in my opinion identical to the marriage a year later.

The other problem I have is that I cannot find any other Baptism's for children between 1804 to 1814 when those above at Llanrhos.

I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on any of the above please.

Kind regards
Wend
