Something strange on 1861 census the numbers seem to start at 85 carrying on from 84 Cavendish road
Maybe the numbering changed

# from  number 122 the street is just named Row

Those are schedule numbers not house numbers.

By 1891 Lancelot Pearson was the only shoemaker on the street
Compared with 4 or 5.

There were 3 in 1881 but all aged over 44

There were shoe factories/footwear and leather goods factories  in Maryport, Cockermouth, Whitehaven, Frizington, Egremont but probably much later than the time frame you are looking for.

It was in the early 1940s that John Slater, the founder of Miller’s Footwear (Great Yarmouth) evacuated his operations from Great Yarmouth to Cockermouth
