Indeed it does - so that you can find it (on Ancestry Heanor, Derbyshire or FindMyPast Heanor, Nottinghamshire??) - anyway the ref. is RG10 - Piece 3480 - Folio 71 - page 29.

On the 1871 John & E Kirkland are listed as lodgers, they are actually living with their daughter Hannah who married Samuel Thorpe 17.5.1850 Kirk Langley.

Fathers names on marriage are John Kirkland and John Thorpe.

Spendlove

1851 census, just after they were married the Thorpe are living with his parents in Hazelwood Derbys

ah yes, thank you very much, heanor though is in derbyshire, hence i was unable to find it until i searched nottinghamshire.

very interesting, another of the boarders is mary a spendlove aged 10.  hannahs younger sister harriet married a james spendlove in 1856. i can find no trace of mary a 's christening, either here or bury where it says she was born. but i bet its johns grand daughter.
