William James young
« on: Monday 22 May 17 18:50 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the birth of my g gandfather William James Young.  He was a Police sergeant in Bayswater and married Harriet Elizabeth Harvey in The Parish Church Whitechapel Dec 25 1872. His father was Benjamin Young a Carman. He won a Police Gallantry award. Any help would be wonderful in finding his birthplace. He says he was born in London. Thanks ::)

There isa baptism in 1856 for an Ann Emma Young, parent Benjamin and Ann , St Michael Queenhithe so possibly the Ann Emma Young who was a witness to Williams Marriage.
Does appear to be the right family, hope so, good luck with your research
