Edinkillie Parish Church, Morayshire, Baptisms 1855-1917
« on: Tuesday 23 May 17 14:48 BST (UK) »
Compiled by Stuart Farrell, FSA.Scot, from records held in the National Records of Scotland, the Scottish Genealogy Society has recently published:  Edinkillie Parish Church, Morayshire Baptisms 1855-1917 (ref CH2/432/9). Prior to 1638 the Parish of Edinkillie included what is now the Parish of Ardclach and the area around the parish church of Edinkillie continued to be an ‘outlier’ of that parish until recent times. This quite extensive parish, some 12 miles from north to south and about 10 miles from east to west, was originally a vicarage of Forres. This volume contains the Baptism registers from1855-1917 and includes the name of the child with date of birth and date of baptism, father’s name and occupation, mother’s maiden name along with their place of residence, and witnesses (price: £4.50 +p&p). This publication is available from our family history centre at Victoria Terrace, Edinburgh or our website: https://www.scotsgenealogy.com/Shop.aspx
