International money orders are available from banks and post offices.  The SWIFT and IBAN numbers are for money transfers which are two different things.  Buy yourself a pre-paid credit card that you use only for these kinds of online purchases.

That sounds a handy tool  ;D

Can you please advise how to go about getting one as I've never heard of them & incase it matters where one lives, I'm in Scotland.

Not sure about in Scotland, but here in Canada, we can buy them in almost every store -- both VISA and Mastercard that come in designated amounts -- $100 etc.

I think the OP is in England?

I will check it out when I get time to consult Mr. Google.

Thanks for that.

It would seem that you haven't done any looking into this online. A pre-paid credit card is not like a 'normal' credit card. Think of it more like a gift card- you put a certain amount in and cannot spend more than that amount (until you add more money) so you are using your money. With a 'normal' credit card you are spending money and then paying it back (which is why you nee credit checks, etc.).
Google 'prepaid credit card uk' to see lots of information. This site compares some of them to give you an idea of set up/monthly charges (which vary greatly), etc.-

One thing to keep in mind is what method you'll use to top it up. Many of them just require comfirmation of U.K. address.

Thanks for the information and link.  Only tried for a credit card to see if it was possible(!).

Have to confirm first if the Canada Gov site does definitely accept pre-paid credit cards.

Can't you get a family member or friend to put it on their credit card and you pay them cash once they know the exact cost once converted?
