Found the book, very adventurous. I am guessing even though he in only named on one page, he stayed with  Keller after that.

She was last looking at the boards on November 10th, so possibly try another pm, or sit and wait?

Hi all, I came across this interesting thread because I'm researching guitar activities in Queensland and it appears that the Cunard troupe were all talented performers on guitars, mandolins and banjos. I really appreciate all the biographical info that has come up in the chat. Might Ellie B have any insights to share regarding the family and their connection to all the plucked string instruments they played? I have seen hundreds of concert advertisements and reviews on Trove that speak to their other talents (opera, illusion, serio-comic acts, etc.) but any more information, especially about the music they played on guitar, etc., would be fantastic!  :)

Unfortunately, nothing of their music has made its way down the generations although I have found reference to a song called Little Alice composed by Archimedes. Ref Auckland Star 8th Nov 1888 p 4. See Papers Past, the N Z digital archive. I haven’t been able to locate the music though.
Alice continued to play the piano throughout her life and played at the Moyhu community dance. One of Her sons played the accordion.
In your research be a little sceptical of their self promotion. I have found many examples of great exaggerations. While Helen was billed as a great opera star, in reality she had only a few performances in a leading role, to indifferent reviews. And I can only find evidence of one trip to Los Angeles where she performed once at a music hall. Archimedes was an illusionist remember. Cross check every claim.
Happy to provide more info, but I don’t have any more on their music. There are ffrequently playlists in the newspaper reviews though.
