Three deaths - Died in WW2?
« on: Sunday 28 May 17 20:28 BST (UK) »
Hello, its been a while, hope you guys are well

I am looking for the deaths of three people,

James Witherington, husband of Martha Walker Murray

Thomas Scott Murray, born 1905 in Wigton, brother of Martha Walker Murray

Joseph Steele Murray, born 1907 in Wigton, brother of Martha

Now I think James Witherington died in 1941 at Devonport in HMS Drake, but I am not sure. He married Martha in 1938 and was possibly born in 1896.

Thomas was in the Royal Artillery.

I have a feeling they all possibly died in WW2, but I am not sure, I might be wrong. I cannot find a death date up to 2006, it is possible they might be alive up to that point.

any help would be appreciated

thanks

There is a marriage for a Thomas S Murray in 1931 Carlisle Cumberland to Eva Thistlethwaite. They are on the 1939 register (sorry but we can't put the details on line) perhaps you could look it up if you think it is the right James they are living in Carlisle.
