Hello and thanks for the messages.
This is my research so far;
William married Sarah Cope 22 March 1852 and named his Father as George occ Tailor.
William baptised 6 June 1830 in Worsbrough with parents named as George (occ weaver) and Anna
George married Hannah Gelder 13 July 1829 in Worsbrough witnesses JOHN and MARY Gelder
William and Hannah living together at the time of the 1841 census with no sign of George so presumed he had died.
George's death was registered by Hannah and his occupation was given as an East India Pensioner. Further research stated that he had enlisted 6 Jan 1804, born in Yorkshire, was aged 34 in 1820, and previous occupation given as a weaver.
Hannah and George are 2 of my 'dead ends'. George could have been born anywhere in Yorkshire as there are many variations of Rushforth. I was hoping that Hannah may have married again, died before 1851 or I could find her on a census after 1841. Difficult to prove which is the Hannah who married George but I will keep looking.
Thanks for trying to help.
