Online storage

I use family tree maker for my family trees, think I should store these trees on net, which would be best, not very good on this sort of stuff, I know there is 'cloud' and possibly 'one drive' but not very clued up.
Plus do they update as you put in new information?

One Drive, I believe, is provided by Microsoft.
Personally, I've used Dropbox for years.  You get 2G free and yes it updates every time you turn your computer on, as long as your internet is working.  You can use it on more than one device too.
If you save stuff on your computer without Dropbox being on, that's OK, it just updates next time your internet is on.

You can share folders with other people or use the Public folder, too - saves emailing big files.

Whichever system you decide on, don't rely on it alone.  You should also backup your important data periodically on another system - USB / CD / external hard disk  etc.
Each system gives different amounts free.  I read a blog on cloud systems recently but can't remember its name - gave comparisons and costs.  You might find it by googling for blogs on cloud systems.
