Re: James A P Pearson b1927

I am not sure that this is the correct forum, but the above is my 1st cousin 1X and he is a bit of a mystery! I know that he was probably born outside of the UK, as his father, Arthur Leigh Weston Pearson, was a Police Inspector, during the time of the Straits Settlement. I believe that he served in Penang. I know that James was living  with his mother Mary Ann nee Lineham at 19 Woodlands Avenue, Chislehurst, according to the 1955 Electoral Register, but that is the sum of my knowledge apart from him being on a couple of passenger lists in 1929/30.

I am particularly, interested in when he died, and anything that would help me fill the gap I have on his background. I suspect to get his birth, I will need to post to a different forum.
Any help/guidance would be much appreciated.

Do you know what his 2 other christian names were?

How do you know he is deceased?  If he is possibly still alive his details should not be shown

Carole,
The register says James Anthony A Pearson. I presume that they are correct, but it is the only instance I have discovered of a Pearson being called 'Anthony'. His father was Arthur and the 'P' may be Percy, after his uncle, but that is pure speculation.

Thank you.  Another question - do you know when and where his father died?  Wondering if he left a will and whether James may be mentioned in it

Unfortunately not.  James was only a child when he died.

Administration of his estate was granted on 20.8.1934 to his widow - Mary Agnes Pearson  - £909

Doesn't solve the problem of where James Anthony ended up though  ???

Mary Agnes presumably died after 1955 so am currently trying to find a death/will for her (if any)
