Clara Elizabeth Wells - DOB - 18/11/1888 - Poplar Middlesex - Father Charles Edward Wells - 1861 - 1905 Mother Clara Elizabeth (Lawson) nee Milne 1859 - 1904

Baptised 26/3/1893 St Saviours C of E - Poplar along with 2 brothers - one of them being George Wells DOB 18/3/1881 - Died Brisbane Australia 31/5/1970.

Family can trace Clara the younger one to residences during WW1 - namely Finbury Park - London in 1915, Thames Ditton in Surrey and Barnes - London - all pre 1919 (? in Domestic service.)

Unable to find any trace of this lady post 1919 - did she marry or what.  Any assistance greatly appreciated.

There are several potential marriages for Clara E Wells after 1911 on www.freebmd.org.uk

Have you bought any of these certificates to rule them out?

The marriage of Clara E Wells to William Riches in Wandsworth, Sep qtr 1919 can be ruled out.  Later records show that this Clara was about a decade too old to be a match.

Thank you for the messages.  My apologies for going onto the wrong board - but I couldn't work out how to do it any other way.  I need some lessons.

What will be the best way to go through all the "Clara WELLS" to see if we can track her down.

I need all the help I can get and so do the members of our U3A Genealogy group here in Toowoomba Australia.

We meet once a month - discussion - helping each other with there research etc. and Rootschat is one of the best and most helpful sites we have come across.
