Tickeraan/Tirkeevaney..Burial's McGarrigle's.
« on: Thursday 01 June 17 12:52 BST (UK) »
Ive been looking into the McGarrigle family in the Tickeraan/Tirkeevaney area of Derry, for a friend.

I have noted that the family date back to at least 1831 and William McGarrigle on the census for that area.

In particular in looking at the family of Catherine McGarrigle born 24 april 1869, she would later marry Pat Mullen/Mullin a railway porter/shunter circa 1893...they appear on 1911 census at Railway Tce (St Laurence gate)

On Catherine's marriage cert it gives William McGarrigle as father I believe her mother to be a Mary Gallagher/Gallaher,I also know that William Mc Garrigle father was Andrew Mc Garrigle.

I know Catherine had at least 2 sisters and 1 Brother.

Basically My friend hopes to visit Derry in the near future and was hoping that a local graveyard may hold the graves of the earlier Mc Garrigle family, William -Andrew etc.

Would anyone know which graveyard the 'early' Mc Garrigle may have been buried, or any additional info.??

Thank you.
