Stuck trying to find my Adamson family

Hello I'm new to rootschat. The reason I joined is I'm very much looking for information on my great grandfather " James Currie Adamson" on ancestry I've managed to find his ww1 medal card he served in Sussex reg and Worcester reg and his marriage certificate I ordered to which he married a "Janet Call" they lived in Wolverhampton however his fathers name was not on there. I don't know his birth or death. The name Adamson I believe to be Scottish .. does anyone have any advice? Thank you
