I am trying to find any information I can on William Booth born 1894 Oldham, Lancashire, England and died on the 11th of January 1958. See below for plaque in William Booth blue plaque in Stalybridge at Blue Plaque Places ommemorating his service in ww1.

Sergeant William Booth
Sergeant William Booth @Stalybridge Library, Stalybridge, England - 'Sergeant William Booth 1893-1958 Born in Stalybridge Served in the 20th Manchester Regiment during the First World War Awarded Distinguished Conduct Medal and Italian Silver Medal for Military Valour "His courage and energy inspired and won the admiration of all"'

He possibly married Margaret Booth 12 Aug 1914 at St Marys Church Bury Lancashire. There were several William Booths that may fit my search . Family members in Australia inform me that this is  there

Hi again :)
We can t give details of the 1939 register but using the free search it would appear that the above William Booth was in Stalybridge, possible wife Annie and possible son Alfred born 1916.
