Edith Griffith, widow, head, age 26, widow, living on own means, born Co Durham, was residing on East India Road, Poplar, London on the 1891 census.  Also in the household were Percy her 3-year-old son, her widow mother Kate Lawes, 45, and sister Bertha Lawes, 14.  Can someone please do a look-up and check for a house number.

This area being dockland took a lot of bombing in WW2 not much was left, but there is a school "The George Green School "the date on the front being 1884 if that's any help

No. 168 seems to have been  between the Methodist Church and East India Hall which is shown as No.170 http://maps.nls.uk/view/102908245#zoom=4&lat=7244&lon=5304&layers=BT where Poplar Fire Station is now. https://goo.gl/maps/xhWyi4uscCR2
