Re: Thomas Pearson born circa 1755

Can anyone help me find out the parents of the above. I have a marriage Family Search ref:
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NKSK-JPX Showing a Thomas Pearson marrying Ann Short. I also have a birth but no parents shown. I need to know the names of those parents. The location is Coventry, Warks.

What do you mean when you say 'I have a birth but no parents'? 

The only Thomas Pearson I can see is from Kingsbury, son of Samuel and Hannah, christened in 1742,  probably a bit too old to be your man (unless he had been married before) and it's a fair distance from Coventry.
Is it your Thomas who was buried in Coventry St. Michael's in 1824?  I wonder if the full record might give his age.

Hi Bev,
I would guess that he is the St. Michael one as I think that was where he and Ann Short were married. The reason I said that I had seen a birth but no parents, was because strangely that was all that was identified. For some reason the record did not provide the parents names, hence my query on Rootschat.

The marriage at St John's Coventry says he is of this parish and Anne Short is from St Michaels.
Now baptisms for the 1750's for St John's are really awful.
There is a John Pearson s of John and Elizabeth Pearson bapt 12.11.1758
They married 13 Jan 1746 at the church and her namewas  Elizabeth Dugless.
It would be strange if John was their first child and there don't seem to be any other Pearsons at the time so I would guess Thomas is somewhere in the crumbled illegible mess before John in 1755.

I was hoping for some confirmation of this. John Pearson and Elisabeth Dugliss are my 4x GG's. I did not state this in my original query, as I was hoping somebody could prove the connection. Anyway, you coming up with the possibility, independently, is a step forward.
