Elizabeth Chandler was my 6x great aunt.  She was born 21 January 1770 in Wooler and was baptised 28 January 1770 in Wooler, Northumberland.
She married Aaron Guthrie on 2 July 1797 at St. Mary's Church in Wooler, Northumberland.
Their son - Nicholas Guthrie (... named after his grandfather/Aaron’s father) – was born about 1798 and was baptised on 24 May 1798 at the UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHEVIOT STREET-NC  in Wooler, Northumberland.
Elizabeth Chandler/Guthrie died in November 1798 and was buried on 14 November 1798 at St. Mary's Church in Wooler, Northumberland.

Aaron Guthrie (... born about 1765 and baptised on 25 May 1765 at West Chapel in Wooler, Northumberland) went on to marry Ann Benthron on 20 May 1799 at St. Mary's Church in Wooler, Northumberland.  He died in July 1835 in Burradon, Northumberlandand was buried on 26 July 1835 at St Michael & All Angels Church in Alwinton, Northumberland.

Nicholas Guthrie (... my 1st cousin 6x removed) married Ann Tynemouth on 14 July 1822 at St. Alban's Church in Earsdon, Northumberland.  He died 22 May 1862 in Bedlington, Northumberlandand and was buried on 25 May 1862 in St. Cuthbert's Church in Bedlington, Northumberland.

The only Guthrie’s I have researched are Aaron and Nicholas.
Let me know if you would like any further Chandler info.
Hope this info is of help.
Regards
Lelly

I have an Alexander Guthrie marrying Elizabeth Steavenson by licence in Berwick 1816. The Steavenson family were a wealthy & influential family at that time. There is also an Alexander Guthrie, porter merchant in the 1806 Berwick directory, which may be him or maybe his father. It is not a direct line for me so this is the only info I have.
Newson, Steavenson, Walker, Taylor, Dobson, Gardner, Clark, Wilson, Smith, Crossland, Goldfinch, Burnett, Hebdon, Peers, Strother, Askew, Bower, Beckwith, Patton, White, Turner, Nelson, Gilpin, Tomlinson, Thompson, Spedding, Wilkes, Carr, Butterfield, Ormandy, Wilkinson, Cocking, Glover, Pennington, Bowker, Kitching, Langhorn, Haworth, Kirkham.

It seems to me that most of the Guthrie's in Leeds are related in some manner. There was a great aunt, of mine, born in 1839, Mary Guthrie, born in Armley, whose father was Ebenezer Guthrie, and mother was Mary Ann Land. Being of the same age I bet they knew each other, and were possibly cousins. If you are interested I can post a list of my male relatives who lived in Leeds in the early 1800's.
