John Campbell Haywood, 1860 - ?
« on: Tuesday 06 June 17 12:17 BST (UK) »
John Campbell Haywood was born in India 2 December 1860 of British parentage. married Alice Gertrude Curtis, formerly Bradley, born 1850, in New York in 1884. At the time he was serving with the merchant navy though by 1910 he was in insurance, living New Jersey, having received US citizenship in Pennsylvannia in 1902.
The last sighting I can find for John and Alice is on the 1940 census, living Warren, Litchfield, Connecticut (Alice's home state).

Is there any possibility of finding the date of their deaths, especially for John, presumably in Connecticut?

Thanks
John

Many thanks. Great to complete the picture.
Yes, I gather he did write those books. I guess time passed and they were forgotten by the time his obituary was written.

Regards
John
