Ralph Smith born Wybunbury/Weston 1775-1780

i have been trying to find a baptism for Ralph Smith - father william Smith- in the Cheshire OPC without success and I am wondering if he was baptised across the border in Staffordshire. The closest I could find was in Leek in 1785 to William and Ann (I don't know his mother's name) but am wondering if there are any records for him as Wybunbury/Weston falls very close to the Staffordshire border.

Would really appreciate some help with this one.

There is a Baptism for Ralph Smith 1/9/1776 in Barthomley, Cheshire Father William, this is very near to Wybunbury.

Have you DOB's for the siblings?

I have only 'guestimates' for the DOBs as I am trying to untangle quite a web.
Ralph could be anything from
Robert around 1763.
Samuel shown as being 65/69 in 1841.
Ralph born between 1766 and 1770
Abigail died in 1837 and was aged 60 but of course, once again, dates may vary slightly.

Robert Smith Bap 16/3/1763 Wybunbury father William

You didn't mention William's DOB ?

These are as near to the dates you have given and are only possible matches

Thank you Ellen- that is great! Now the only other problem I have is that there are several William Smiths in the area around that time and I need to try and work out if these that you have found are siblings or cousins! is there any way at all of finding out who their mothers were or if there are any occupations entered for the fathers? I know it is a long shot but you have been such a brilliant help!

There are no mothers names mentioned on the registers or father's occupation sadly, it would be a whole lot easier if they had 

I have found a bit more information, but it will probably confuse you more
 
William was a twin to Hannah, children of William Smith of Weston Taylor.

I have found a Baptism for another Samuel Smith 30/12/1762 son of William of Weston.

On Robert's record it states Father William Smith of Weston Junior.

On Abigail's record it states father William Smith of Snape.

It's a bit of a minefield trying to sort out so I wish you luck with it, sorry I couldn't give you more definite information.
