I presume that as you are asking for a second opinion that you do actually have access to the 1939 register? If so I suggest that you look very carefully at the image of the year as I think it is a mistranscription.

I do have access too it and I did just want a second opinion yes. I'm glad you think it is a mistranscription :) thank you very much.

Could it say Percy E Rice for the marriage in 1918? Rather than Percy M. Letters are not too clear (he is Perey on ancestry), some of the capital E's look a bit like M's.

I agree I was semi unsure. Then when I look up Percy M Rice for birth it says 1875 which makes me a bit weary!

Possible deaths?
March 1956 Nottingham 3c 460
Rice, Elizabeth Ellen
age 62

March 1965 Nottingham 3c 225
Rice, Percy E.
age 71

Think it's safe to assume you were thinking the same thing as I! Which does bring me to the conclusion he is actually Percy E and not Percy M. Thank you :)

If you were just querying what it says on the image you can post a copy of the entry on here (You will need to start a separate post as you can't post images on the look up boards)

A Percy Ewart Rice is on cremation index in Nottinghamshire

Death Date: 1 Aug 1965 Cremation Date: 5 Aug 1965
He seems to match a Percy Ewart Rice birth in Norwich district Q2 1894.
This Percy can be found on 1901 and 1911 censuses

Added
I think the PR I've found in 1911 is a different one - Percy Handford Rice birth also reg Norwich, but a year earlier
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge
Dorset / Hants: Derham, Stride, Purkiss, Sibley
Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge

Lanark: Scott (soldier went to Jersey CI)

Percy Ewart Rice - details as previously given - was the son of a Frederic(k) John Rice and Betsy Breeze who married in June quarter 1886 Norwich.

By 1901 Betsy is a widow and death index shows Frederick John Rice bc.1864 d.March quarter 1897 Norwich.

I think you will find that Elizabeth Ellen Crossland was actually born and baptised as Lizzie Ellen Crossland - birth reg'd Dec.qtr.1892 Mansfield (GRO index mmn Eyre), bp.4/12/1892 Mansfield Woodhouse, Notts. dau. of Henry and Eliza.   Henry Crossland married Eliza Eyre Dec.qtr.1887 Mansfield.
