I have solved the question of the link between Roderick Rawnsley and The Reverend Hardwick Drummond Rawnsley, Rodericks father and Drummond are 2nd cousins twice removed.
I have gone back to Robert Rawnsley 1646 and attached to him is a man called William De Ravenslawe born 1370. I wonder if this is the origin of the surname Rawnsley?.
