Yes I did have her linked to Richard as being her father,  Once that death print out said John as father, I was totally thrown off :-\
Don't mind me, I am not the only one who is going around and around with this family ;)
So back to Richard you think?  The main reason why I went with Richard and Elizabeth in the first place was that a child born here in NZ had the middle name of Lyle.
Wouldn't it be nice if our families got it right to begin with, and not leave such a pickle for later generations?

Richard and Elizabeth seem most likely especially as Sarah named a son Richard.

Details on death certificates are only as good as the information provided, and the informant probably had no personal memory of Sarah's father and relied on hearsay.

As far as I'm concerned, the fact that one of the children born in NZ had Lyle as a second name sort of clinches it that Sarah was indeed the daughter of Richard and Elizabeth.
