Advice on how to search - cinema ownership..?
« on: Thursday 08 June 17 10:03 BST (UK) »
Not sure how to begin a search so anyone's input would be appreciated!

I have been told that my great grandfather owned/co owned a cinema in Manchester. His name was John Ashworth Tyler (b. 1898 d. 1983). I'm not sure on a date range but it would have been between 1930 - 1950 at least. Potentially slightly later. It's a wide range i appreciate but how would i start to look into this?

Hi tyler11

Starting the same topic in numerous places is not the way to go on Rootschat.

Potentially you get people in 3 places doing the look-ups and duplicating efforts. It wastes their time.

Other topics are here

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=772948.0 now has a reply

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=772947.0

If you find after a while you don't get any replies to a topic you can ask for it to be moved to another location to see if people elsewhere can help.
