Looking for a birth record  on a John Hughes born about 1861 Father John Hughes ( collier )
Mother Jane Hanley .. I think he was born Tyrone Ireland according to 1911 Scottish census he married 1896 in Helensburgh Dumbartonshire to a Annie Davidson and was a widower his occupation was Stone Mason's Labourer ...Would be grateful on any information on his parents if possible

could his mothers name possibly be Jane Vallely
Patrick born Brackaville 1864 father John a Collier

You could be right dathai looking at the marriage record again for mothers maiden name ...Took a chance on a death for John Hughes on SP which was the right one ...Now the parents are John Hughes Farm Labourer and Bridget Boyle  ??? ???

I would be more inclined to go with the parents he gave on his marriage cert when he himself was alive.

Does he have younger siblings on any Census? See if they are on Civil Reg...

The problem I have is can only find him on the 1911 census in Scotland he married in 1896 and is not on the 1901 census with his wife and family  ???
