Elizabeth Allan born 23rd August 1915, died age 61 in September quarter 1976, Manchester.

A letter to her local newspaper might yield results. My dad found one of his cousins that way!   :)

are you sure this one is yours
a quick search of Manchester burials brings up
another Elizabeth Allan buried 07/09/1972
a where are you now enquiry to a local paper might be the best route to go down f you are looking for living relatives of the lady you are researching

Presumably this marriage:
Marriages December quarter  1935
Thomas Allan    Manchester N.    8d   1213   
Elizabeth Ball    Manchester N.    8d   1213

and in 1939 Elizabeth Allan, 1915, is with a Thomas Allan (1912) in Manchester, with 2 closed records

Yes, the 1976 death (and 1935 marriage) is definitely the correct lady thank you.

I'll look at the newspaper option too thanks; I just thought there may be relatives/friends/neighbours on here who might have remembered her.
