Hi,

Findmypast has the 1925 New Zealand Electoral Roll but I don't subscribe to this service.

Thanks Johnf04,

1922 Roll for Auckland West Theresa was married.

1825 Roll for Auckland West Theresa was a widow.

Thank you Johnf04 & Gerry.

I have been sent details of the 1896, 1919 & 1928 ERs and it shows that in 1896, (the year my husband's father was born) Theresa was living in Renall Street, while James was at Costley Street. Both of these street names are familiar in the family story. It would appear that the couple were separated prior to James leaving for Australia.

The 1897 Electoral Roll for Auckland has Theresa at Rennall St, no James Lanigan on this roll that I can see.

The 1899 Electoral Roll for Auckland has Theresa at Costley St but no James Lanigan on this Roll that I can see.

The 1900 Electoral Roll for Auckland I cant see Theresa or James Lanigan.

The 1902 Electoral Roll for Auckland, Theresa Lanigan, Costley St, tailorese. but no James.

Thanks so much Gerry.

It does appear that James took off around 1896. An interesting snippet too, about Theresa being a "tailoress". We were not aware of that.

Each little bit of information is helpful in building up the family picture.
