Benjamin Ogborn
« on: Tuesday 13 June 17 00:00 BST (UK) »
Looking for the death OF Benjamin Ogborn. probably in Bethnal Green East London. Benjamin married my great great grandmother Martha Hares in 1865. Martha married again in 1869 and was described on her marriage certificate as a Widow. However I can find no record of the death of Benjamin. Have tried numerous alternative spellings. Can anybody help please?

It's possible that he wasn't deceased when Martha remarried?

Divorce was extremely expensive in those days; and no proof was asked for that a woman was a widow?
