Family Search has the baptism of Eliza Gurd at Fordingbridge on 7 April 1822, daughter of John and Mary.
This is still all conjectural. You do need sight of the marriage certificate of William Clark and Jane Ings which will, hopefully show William's father to be Thomas, builder/carpenter, to confirm the linkage.
