Handwriting help please
« on: Wednesday 14 June 17 04:38 BST (UK) »
Hi there
Have the attached image in 1797 of:
"April 27 Peter and Elizabeth son and daughter of Roger and Joan his wife"

Could you confirm it does say Peter and what might the words, written smaller, above "& Joan" be please?

I ma assuming they were twins but possibly just 2 children bap together. Any opinions on that possibility?
Many thanks as usual
Cheers
Meegan

Your reading is correct, except it also has Roger's surname, Pound, and at the end the words "were baptized".  The word after Roger's name is his occupation: "pipe maker".
