Sarah Cresswell/Ann Coppins/Richard Coppins

Help!

I am trying to find information on Sarah Cresswell born c1794 Minster, Hamps (I presume it means Minstead, Hampshire)?  She married a Richard Coppins and later settled in Saint Pancras, Middlesex, London.
Also Ann Coppins born c1802 Minster, Hamps (I am presuming it is a sister to Richard Coppins husband of Sarah Cresswell- any information on Richard would also be appreciated).
I have these details from the Census.
If you require any more information please do not hesitate to contact me.
Cheers
Mary

We shouldnt be in a position where you have omitted information.

Eg When and where was the Cresswell- coppins marriage?
What names witness?

When did Richard die? Why no age/ birthyear for him?

Pauline

Hi Pauline

The reason the information has been omitted is because there is nothing.
I have no birth date, no marriage date, no death date.
Any information would be a plus, I have been researching for 20 years....

Thanks again
Mary

Arthur appears to have been christened in Southampton in 1818 (familysearch)
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:J3L1-7VZ

The next probable child is John bapt 14 January 1821   CHRIST CHURCH, SOUTHWARK

The last child George was born 29 May 1837
christening 6 August 1837   OLD CHURCH, SAINT PANCRAS - parents Richard & Sarah.

I would think it is possible Richard was in the Forces as a couple of children born Ireland

I can't see a marriage for Richard Coppins and Sarah Cresswell , but there is one for Richard Coppins and Sarah Slater 21 Dec 1817 at Southampton SS Lawrence & John. There is an on line tree which has a Sarah Cresswell as Grandchild of this couple.

1861 census in St Pancras
Sarah Coppin  b 1796 Menestead Hampshire
Ann Suter ( transcribed Luter ) sister b 1804 Menestead

Baptisms

Sarah Suter 2 Nov 1794 Minstead daughter of John & Mary
Ann Suter 29 Nov 1801 Minstead      "             "        "

There are no baptisms for Slater in Minstead which suggests a possible transcription error in the 1817 marriage which I gave in my previous reply - for Slater read Suter ?

My husbands GG Grandmother was Sarah Cresswell Coppins b 131-7-1831 Saint Pancras Middlesex London, married George Ashwood 26-3-1852 St Marylebone London, died 19-10-1871 Grafton NSW Australia.
The information is believed to have come from the death certificate.
Sarah Cresswell Coppins is the daughter of Richard Coppins and Sarah Cresswell.

That may be a lead....that Richard Coppins was in the military which may explain the births of 2 of the children in the census appearing as born Ireland.  How do I research if this is correct?  Perhaps Richard Coppins was Irish??
