Samuel John Austin

Hi everyone
I have another troublesome ancestor that is confusing me so would like some help clarifying the information.
Samuel Austin which is also spelt Austen depending on the record sets used was born in 1839 in Dover Kent
He can be found on the 1841 census with his parents Samuel and Ann (nee Deal).
His baptism was in 22 August 1841 at Ewell parents listed as Samuel and Ann.
My problem is on the GRO index the mother maiden name is given as Bayley?
Samuel and Ann's marriage can be viewed on findmypast and Ann was listed as a spinster.
Samuel John Austin's marriage to Sarah Nicholas in 1859 is also available on ancestry. The details on the certificate fit with his fathers information from the census records.
I have not sent for his birth certificate yet as I only discovered the different mothers name this evening.
So who was his mother?

Ann Deal certainly makes sense as there's a John Deal,mariner aged 80 in the same household in 1841

The marriage is also on familysearch and it took place at St Mary the Virgin, Dover, Kent. However, there are three different dates for the marriage between five records. The dates of marriage shown in these records are:

5th Oct 1823
22nd Feb 1824
16th Apr 1824

One of the records states that both Samuel Austin & Ann Deal were both single.

Hi everyone
Thanks for your comments the marriage between Samuel Austin and Ann Deal took place on 16/4/1824 as it was before 1837 no fathers were listed. Samuel signed and Ann left her mark.
I will send of for the birth certificate this weekend but wondered if anyone was able to connect the Bayley surname to the Austin family?
