Also known as Madge Preston left Southampton to be married in South Africa, but to whom?  Help please, I just don't know where else to look for my father's cousin.  Born in Hastings in June 1913.  Brave girl, but who did she marry?  A mystery.

Thank you Pampoen. I wonder...the M and the F I understood to mean Margaret and Frances, but it could have been Mary.  I guess the 1942 date refers to her marriage date.  I will search for the Knolles surname and see what I find.

Not her unfortunately. Just looked at the estate she married in 1925, at the time of the husbands death they had 2 children over 18 years in age.

What was her actual birth name & who were her parents as this may help other researchers of your family & provide you with more info. if they can relate to the same names especially if they descend from her?

Thank you Carol8353, that is the correct Ellen.  Her father's name was Geoffrey Oswald Preston. I spotted that married on Familysearch, Solidrock, and as you mentioned she may have married twice. Apologies Rosinish for omitting the details mentioned.  Thank you all for your time.
