On his death notice it states she was formerly a Dalton born Preston. She married Charles in Humansdorp in the Cape Province.

Thank you Pampoen, for the Kallenbach connection.  I have checked and it seems her first name was Elizabeth, and was the daughter of Edward Joseph and Danae Deserae Delport.  Shame.

I believe Ellen M F Preston would've have married in a Roman Catholic Church, and unfortunately I can't find where to search for such records.  I am very grateful for any suggestions.
