Hi all,

I'm hoping someone can help with this, I have attached a few clippings from A. G. Faulkner's Military Personnel File, he did service in WW1 and also signed up for WW2, so there's plenty of examples. He didn't seem to know his birth year! It was actually 1871.

Can someone please decipher his birth location? I've tried to find place's on the West Coast of New Zealand which is spelled like the word in the examples but I have been unsuccessful.

Coould be Waipipi which is near Franklin in the Waikato
