Many thanks for your reply Ray. I'll have a look at the info you have provided.

Dora May was born in Brill, Buckinghamshire and died in Aylesbury, Bucks.

As you quite rightly pointed out Thame covers Oxon and Bucks.

Perhaps it might be worth a post on the Buckinghamshire board.

There is a WW1 service record for 'Fred' Darvell, who enlisted on 11 December 1915, aged 18 years 9 months.
His address is Wagon and Horses Yard, Chesham, Bucks.  [Amersham district]
NoK is father George Darvell of 10 Waggon Horse Yard, Chesham [presumably the same address as Fred, but that is how they were written]

1901 census shows George Darvell and wife Matilda in Chesham with their family. The two youngest children, Fred and Rose are shown aged 6 and 3 years respectively, but I think it should be the other way around.
George Darvell married Matilda Turvey in 1871.  Rose Darvell Mmn Turvey was born in 1894, and Frederick William Darvell Mmn Turvey was born in 1897.

I have tried very hard to find them in 1911. Maybe you will have better luck.  :)

Thanks Galium for the look up and information.

Fred looks a possibility, will look for him on the 1911.

On the 1911 George (father) Rose (dau) Fred (son) are living at 10 Waggon Horse Yard, Chesham with Sarah Read (nee Darvell).

Well done!

I think there's a possible third marriage for Frederick. Nannie U Darvell died in 1955.
Frederick W Darvell married Nellie R Morgan in Amersham district in 1960.

Nellie R Darvell born c1900 died in Amersham district in 1965
National Probate Calendar shows Nellie Rose Darvell of 34 Mount Nugent, Chesham. Probate to Frederick William Darvell retired council employee.
