Thomas Skeets,
« on: Saturday 17 June 17 16:15 BST (UK) »
Hi, I am trying to trace my late fathers family and although I have had much help and imformation a lot from off this forum there are still gaps to fill.
my father had two sisters Mary Ann and Eliza Jane, I have traced Eliza Janes husband and family, but apart from her birth certificate from 1912 I cannot find anything about Mary Ann, as I recall her husband was Tommy [Thomas] Skeets or a similar name  I assume he comes from Londonderry/Derry] I have found a Thomas Cambell Skeets  who was born in an army barracks but without a marriage certificate I cannot connect him to our family can anyone help please,

Mary Ann Brown born 1912- https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1912/01482/1603257.pdf

Marriage will be too recent to be available online (Irish Genealogy certificates go up to 1921 for .I. counties).

GRONI's index covers more recent dates and closest is this one- index does not show middle names but once you've registered and purchased a few credits then you can view the marriage certificate-

This is likely the Thomas Campbell Skeet that you found-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Londonderry/Londonderry_No__5_Urban/Ebrington_Military_Barracks/606541

Albert Skeet married (1906) Eliza Stewart-

Can't see Thomas' birth in Irish Genealogy or GRONI databases

Thomas was born in County Donegal according to the 1911, so a good match is the Thomas Skeet birth on 27/4/1907 registered in Inishowen, mother's surname Stewart..

Albert's marriage notice in the Derry Journal notes he was eldest son of a Walter Skeet, Selsey, Sussex. Eliza was fourth daughter of the late Joseph Mills Stewart of Londonderry.  The initials D.E., and Royal Garrison Artillery appear after his name. Perhaps D.E. was a rank?

A Joseph Mills Stewart of Duke Street died in July 1896.

Joseph's widow and family at 1901:
