Patrick Long in Drumboghill, Inishkeel
« on: Saturday 17 June 17 19:39 BST (UK) »
I have recently come home from a lovely trip to Co. Donegal. Looking for my family from Drumboghill. Unfortunately we could not find it, the town. Does anyone know if the townland still exists and how to locate current people living there. Thank you, Alice

Drumboghill is a townland, not a town. See here for map showing location, adjoining townlands, etc.-

There were still Longs living there in 1911-

Hello Alice. Sorry I had not seen this earlier regarding your search for Patrick Long and his family of Drumboghill in Glenties as I have knowledge of this family. I am not related but I have recently been helping a friend Brenda née Long whose parents were from Drumboghill in the Glenties area of Co. Donegal. Brenda's father was Patrick John Long born about 1909 and his father (Brenda's grandfather) John Long was born about 1877. The Long family later moved from Drumboghill to Co. Down which is where Brenda lives. If you can tell me how you are related to Patrick Long I will gladly put you in touch with Brenda. My email is (*) Hope to hear from you soon.
