Searching for any information about JOHN JACOB/S please.

An ancestor has come to Australia c.1833.

He came to Sydney NSW. age 19 years

Hope someone can find his parents or family in London

There were lots of men named John JACOBS transported around that time.  Can you give us the name of his ship or tell us about John's life in Australia (marriage, children, death, occupation) and information from certificates so that we can work out which one he is.

As you mention both Surrey and London then perhaps he was the John JACOB who was tried in Surrey in 1832, and transported on the Andromeda in 1833.  He was aged 19, a File Cutter, born London. His cert of freedom was issued at Bathurst in 1840 and his birth year recorded as 1816.

Do you know when/where he died?  Was there any attempt to name his parents on the death cert?
