There was no address on wedding info.I don't think that info is on English marriage certificates. On Scottish ones it gives the couples addresses. Thanks

Have you seen the certificate? It usually gives an address.

Hi, to be honest, it's a while since I read it, I definitely didn't order a certificate as I would have it here. Memory not as good these days. So obviously what I read online is only part info and if I now order this it will give more details? I will do that if that's the case. Thanks

Marriage certificate should give bride and groom names and ages (although often it just says of full age), occupations, address, fathers' names and fathers' occupations. However, sometimes the couple gave the address of a friend or relative so that the banns were only called in one parish. This saved money.

1871 2079/6/3

T Blake 18 yrs born Tavistock is a Foot Boy in Moretonhampstead, Devon.

It does look like a 'T' but I can't see anyone who would fit in 1861 so wonder if it was just entered on the census wrongly.
