Thanks Sandra and PB

Found that Harold John Coleby died 11 Nov 2003 at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie Ontario and was buried 14 Nov in St Paul's Cemetery in Innisfil. His wife Marjorie Ida nee Jarvis born 6 Sep 1924 England died 18 Nov 2010 Trenton Ontario. Harold dob from death cert gives his birth as 6 Jul 1924. Don't know what to make of that.

Husband of Velma is probably still living - born 6 September 1935.

First that I have seen Geraldine mentioned as a sister and no mention of George, Marie or Madelene.

About young Harold and Madilen.....

Harold was down as 1 year old when he crossed the border with Harold Sr and Maud 08 June 1919. Madilen was born 6 days after they arrived in Michigan 14 Jun 1919 and died nearly 5 months later. Young Harry should perhaps have been down as 2 in the 1920 census. His birthplace is given as London Ontario in the border crossing manifest.

Thanks PB
A 1918 dob is even farther out with his death cert age of 79 yrs and headstone inscription of 6 Jul 1924. At first I thought that harry had died and Harold John was named after him but could not find a death cert in either Ontario or Michigan. Puzzled why the large discrepancy

Harry Coleby age 3 crossed the border from Detroit to Windsor 30 Dec 1921 on his way to Bothwell Ont to join his father Harold. His birthplace is listed as London. So birth year 1918ish.

Also found so far, a record for the same date for his sister Irene age 7 months. This ties in with her birthdate of 21 Jun 1921 as seen in other records; birthplace Michigan. She would not quite be a full 7 months at this point but older than 6 months by dates.

Assume they would be travelling with their mother but I don't see a record for her at the moment.

It is certainly odd that Harold John's dates should be so different. 1918 Ontario births will soon be available.

Thanks again PB.
Unfortunately a hold has been put on the release of the 1918 birth records and they will not be available until 2023.
