Rolnora – I would say you have got the right one he was a pattern card maker (packing case maker ?)
Ann (Hannah) Davies – keep forgetting to look at Ann
The surname Gleadell is interesting never thought to check that
Terry – Jesse mmmm interesting
Where di Percy come fromm all the others are spot on
Solidrock – Did see that marriage to Asquith but had to confirm further down the track and I think maybe be too early
Heatherjulie – You got it Thomas Henry Eyre was the guy that started me on this part of the tree and there is Gleadell again
The 1881 census looks fine, the 1841 a good possibility the 1851 census cannot figure who Rob would be grandson too, the mother in law would make Sarah a Booker not a Davies needs further checking
The 1861 census possible but need more evidence maybe
Amondg- Interesting birth  will check that out and his father I have come across a Hopkinson see above will need more checking on that thanksjust recently
OK guys
A lot of info to digest most looks really good – I will check Hopkinson, Gleadell
Thanks for all your help ;D ;D :D :D

This is possibly Robert's grandparents (Hopkinson) not his wife's family. He would be the grandson of the head of the household - Paul Hopkinson.

Mary Booker would be Paul Hopkinson's mother-in-law, so possibly back another generation?

You need to make sure that you look at the original records, not just a transcription.  In this case the various transcribers have not correctly determined the name of this child.  The handwritten name is a bit of a mess and difficult to read and they have mistakenly seen the upward loop of the 'H' in Sarah on the line below as being a downward loop at the end of Jesse's name - hence 'Terry'/Percy.

By going forward to the next census and also checking the GRO indexes you can confirm his correct name.

Thanks Debra
Yes I agree its always best looking at original documents but at present the cost of Ancestry, Find my Past and other websites can be quite costly, I did have an Ancestry sub but it ran out and renewal was nearly double and straight after I did the DNA test so now cant even compare other DNAs
Hopefully one of them will do a special
So thanks for the explanation on the name would love to check out the original maybe its on FamilySearch but my luck it will say go to Ancestry
best regards

Hi Amondg
re your last message

Bit confused I was under impression Robert was father of Jesse not George who I thought was the father of Robert
May be I have misunderstood
