Two brothers? Humfrey, Chester?
« on: Tuesday 20 June 17 14:54 BST (UK) »
My family collection of old photos includes the following two cabinet cards. They're both taken by Watmough Webster in Chester, mounted on a similar kind of card. Other photos in the collection suggest these two might be from the Humfrey family. How old do you think the pictures might be? I'm guessing both men are about 30ish. Also, do you think these two are related (which would help with my identification) or are similarities just because of the pose & style? Many thanks.

Sorry. This is the last time I'll try to do this on my phone. I've got into a complete tangle! Pics attached hopefully.

Regarding their looks: high foreheads, hair and ears are similar; other facial features not so much. They could be brothers or they could be totally unrelated. So, not much help. Cheers, Peter.

Thanks to you both. You've got the same view as me at least - maybe they're brothers, maybe they're not.

I was hoping the back might help to narrow the date but not so.
The numbers suggest they were taken within a year of each other.
I think they are similar around the mouth & could easily be brothers.
