HMS Soudan
« on: Tuesday 20 June 17 16:01 BST (UK) »

The following details are taken from “Grandad`s War”
On the 20th September 1904 the  battalion left from Government Sidings at Aldershot and began the move to India, sailing from Southampton on the HMS Soudan.

I`m trying to find an image of this ship , but all I can get is a hospital ship of the same name.
Is this the same one.

The fact sheet of the Soudan would imply that they are the same ship.
