O'Brien - Gunsmith - Oakley Road, Ranelagh
« on: Wednesday 21 June 17 11:18 BST (UK) »
Seeking connections to the O'Brien Family. I believe my great-grandfather was Andrew O' Brien.

Correction, I now know my great-grandfather was Robert O'Brien (b. 1829) who was a brother of Andrew.

Addresses relevant:  29 Charlotte Street and 41Oakley Road.

When was he alive?

Conflict on Year of birth. Either 1857 (1901 Census) or 1852 (1911 Census).  This is not unusual and possibly relates to pension matters!
My records show that Andrew died on 24th December 1923 and is buried in Goldenbridge Cemetery. I believe Andrew to be the son of Robert O'Brien ( born 1829). Andrew would have been my Great-grandfather.

Correction: Robert O'Brien was, in fact, my great grandfather. Robert was a brother of Andrew who was unmarried at the time of his death in 1923.
