Hi, Sashar. I'm not much good at dating, but the experts may see this after I've given it a nudge.

I think Terence looks about 30 years old, and you could probably exclude Terences 1 and 4 (I think); 1 looks a bit early, and I think sepia faded out (pun intended!) by the late 1920s. Men's suits didn't change a real lot, so choosing between 2 and 3 is beyond my ability, but I'd say 3, just because to me the photo seems to have a more modern look than one taken in the early 1890s.

Cheers, Peter.

Hi Peter,
I agree that Terence 1 & 4 are out.
I'm also deciding between 2 & 3 and came to think it's 2.
I think the Terence in this photo may be the same man as the Terence in the photo I sent previously on a separate link with the Fire Bucket and 2 other chaps.
Any thoughts on that?

Sorry, Sashar, but I don't think they're the same man. The biggest difference, I think, is in the noses, although the ears and the face shape seem a little different as well. I've lined them up below. So, for me, that leaves number 3 as being the Terence subject of this post. But if one of the true experts comes along, I may be completely wrong! Cheers, Peter.

Hi Peter,
If it was the same Terence there would be at least 20yrs between the photo's so the face would change quite a bit.
Hard to tell when one is clean shaven and the other with a beard.
I agree the noses look different but then one photo is looking straight on and the other slightly to the side.
I thought the way both men stood was fairly similar.
If only people had written on the back of the photo's - oh well!
Thanks for lining up the photo's like you did.   May help someone else make a decision?
Regards,  Sashar
