Sheila Stuart MacKenzie Dunford - died on the morning of 7 December 2003 as she lived, peacefully and with dignity. She died in residence at Purdy Pavilion of UBC / Vancouver Hospital. Sheila was born in Gairloch, Scotland and came with her family to Canada in 1914 when she was seven. She always loved to talk of Scotland and her fondness for Gairloch where she returned to visit later in her life. She was married to Bill Dunford for 55 years until his death in 1994.....etc etc

First of all Sandra may I thank you for all this information
Last night it was after 12 when I went to bed and I did find the death of Alexander with his patents on I didn't save it as I intended looking for it again this morning where I found the the other Alexander Mackenzie's death and would never had picked it up if you hadn't told me thanks for that .I knew there was a sister but couldn't read it last night on Ian's marriage she was a witness
 I thought at first it must have been Margaret when you sent her birth through
To think I was in Vancouver in May 2008 and could have passed one of my relatives on the street
I have downloaded all this info you have posted

When Alexander signed up 9 March 1914 - he stated his wife was at Heatherlee Gairloch Rosshire.

I see Alexander has added 2 years to his birth  date so did my granda McKenzie when he joined the Coldstream Guards in 1879 must take after his uncle
