Please can anyone help.  I cannot find a birth record for my gg grandfather Samuel Rowley born Brixton 1846,  according to census records.  His father was William Rowley born Sundridge Kent 1821, his mother was Sarah born Leicestershire.

The 1851 has him born Tulse Hill?

any mother's maiden name from the 2 other kids? (tyrrell looks worth considering)

Got him  in any other census(es)? Care to share?

This looks like the correct Sarah & a later son (Harry, b 1852) in 1881. She's now from Kent.

Can see 1871 Harry & his mum?,

1861 - transcribed as Rawley on F M P

All children are registered with Mmn Tyrrell, except Samuel no sign.

The twins were born June Q 1847, which would give a DOB as 1846 on census. Abraham dies shortly after birth. Cannot find a death for Isaac.

I found the death of both twins.
Deaths Jun 1847   
Rowley    Abraham        Lambeth    4   170    
Rowley    Isaac        Lambeth    4   170

I think Samuel 's registration went awol.
Might be worth chasing up with the local registrar.

His birth might not have been registered as it was 1846 and prior to an amendment to the law in 1874

Many thanks to all who replied.  I have all the info. except the info. about Sarah with son Harry. Didn't know about Harry. I will contact the local registration to try to find Samuel.
