Held Captive by Comanches
« on: Sunday 25 June 17 16:36 BST (UK) »
I am tracing the ancestry of Lee Temple Friend who was held captive from the age of 8, until his release at aged 14, he sadly died at 16 unable to re-adapt.

Please can anyone help me to establish from which European country his family came from?

From "Friend Family Association" I discovered a post by gregorykindall which says
"I found the following pedigree for Temple Friend (which I post without making any representations about its accuracy):

Nils Larsson Friend (c.1630-1686)
Anders Nilsson "Andrew" Friend (1659-1748)
Israel F. Friend (1693-1753)
Charles Friend (1733-1811)
Charles W. Friend (c.1760-?)
Charles Howard Friend (1789-1868)
Leonard S. Friend (1814-1882)
John S. Friend (1836-1929)
Lee Temple Friend (1860-1876)"

Lee, his Father John Scratch Friend and Grandfather, Leonard are correct, my research also then lead to the previous generation being Charles Friend b. Gloucester, Virginia in 1757.

Any information would be most appreciated!
